City of Mentor – Mentor, OH

The City of Mentor requested Snider Recreation to design a large play zone under the Ohio State Contract Program.  Snider Recreation came up with an inclusive play design that has the community excited for play!

The goal is about all children having an equal access to participate in play regardless of ability, age, or comfort-level. The design brought in the Cruiser, slides, a Volito Swing, climbers, bridges and a swing bay which includes a freedom swing.  The safety surfacing was a mix of turf and engineered wood fiber.

When we all play together, everyone benefits from greater development, empathy and learning and we create a sense of community, of sharing and of inclusivity.
