Hammond Community Parks – Hammond, IN

Snider Recreation is about FUN in all areas of recreation.  We were excited when the City of Hammond, Indiana asked to provide them with an outdoor fitness park.  These outdoor parks are a great way for communities to promote wellness.

Snider Recreation has installed fitness equipment in a few of the city’s parks.  Columbiana Park in 2017 was a large exercise zone which included eight pieces of equipment.

In 2020 Irving Park was installed eight pieces of equipment spread out into four different fitness areas.  Talk about a city that takes the health of their community serious.  Socially distanced fitness zones are one way to keep the community moving on a trail or around a track!

The equipment is high-quality and has a multigenerational appeal.  The machines can be used by almost anyone, regardless of ability or fitness level.  Best of all, the equipment is free for the public to use.
